The heroine in so many stories of our family. The central hub, the axis, the epicenter, the heart. She taught us what it means to show up, and to be bold and strong. That is part of her legacy: show up, do what needs to be done, love your family. So grateful to be a part of Lola.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lola in Austin, Texas when she came with Janis and Bill to visit Heather, Roque, Elliot and Amelie.She impressed me with her outgoing personality and at her age her memory was unbelievable. So sharp and intelligent !!!She will be missed but memories of good times with her will stay in her loved ones hearts. RIP Lola.

Our condolences to the Peckham family. I continue to have many fond memories of Lola when as a young student at Lake City, I would travel to the Peckham house and talk POLITICS! And boy, did she love to talk POLITICS. I was always mesmerized by her oratory while my own party roots were taking hold, those I still hold to this day.I could always count on election campaigns the many Democratic Party banners, hats, etc.. she freely gave.Wonderful lady!!Don and Deb PalmerPentwater, Michigan
