Charlotte Mae Wallington, age 89 of Lake City passed away Saturday, December 02, 2017 at
the Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.

Charlotte was born September 26, 1928 in Richland Center, Wisconsin to Charles and Tillie
(Costerison) Blaker.

She married Lavern (Cy) Wallington December 21, 1946 in Cadillac. He preceded her in
death in October of 1988.

Charlotte had been employed for years at Burkholder Clothing and L & N Clothing in Lake City
as a cashier and manager.
Along with her husband Cy, they managed Missaukee Mountain Ski Park for a number of years,
and worked on the Forest Township election board.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking for her family, especially at the holidays, and loved to be
outside gardening with one of her ever present Boxers. She was also an avid reader, especially
interested in finding new recipes from cookbooks.
Charlotte was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Lake City and the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by her son Jimmy (Nancy) Wallington of Lake City, a son in law Chet Smith of
Bellaire and brother Ronald (Doris) Blaker of California. She is also survived by three
grandchildren: Steven (Sally) Wallington of Cadillac, Gregory (Tasha) Wallington of Ada and
Ashley (Chris) Alspaugh of Bellaire, and three great grandchildren Marley Alspaugh and Keira
and Liam Wallington.

Charlotte was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Charles, James and Bill, a
sister Norma and a daughter Deborah Smith.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Lake City Cemetery.
