Marvin Clare Bolles, of Lake City, passed away, Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his home. He was 79 years old. Marvin was born May 13, 1937 in Hesperia, Michigan to Leo and Doris (Westbrook) Bolles. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and was a member of and enjoyed attending the Cadillac AMVETS, the American Legion Post #300 of Lake City, the Lake City Eagles #3884 and the Cadillac Moose Lodge #531. Marvin was involved as a Ham Radio operator, enjoyed working Sudoku puzzles and reading history books and newspapers. He enjoyed playing the lottery and going to the casino. Marvin was employed as a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service in Cadillac until his retirement in 1999. Marvin is survived by his children: Andrea Lynn (Derek) Manchip of Charlotte, Gaylyn (Andy) Mayhew of Cadillac, Amy Sue Musselman of Saginaw and Michelle (Gary) Geiger of Lake City, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a brother Milton (Nina) Bolles of Twin Lake and a loving special friend Fran Stiles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City. A time of visitation will be on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Caldwell Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Legion Post #300 of Lake City or the Lake City Eagles Lodge #3884.
