Gerald John Baughan of Lake City passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Autumnwood of McBain. He was 71 years old.

Gerald was born June 17, 1944 in Marion, Michigan to John W. and Mary V. (Smith) Baughan.

On April 29, 1967 he married Ada May Metzger in Ventura County, Oxnard, CA.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy for four years, with one year in Vietnam. He was a construction steel worker. He was active in the Christian Motorcycle Ministry, a member of the Cadillac VFW Post 6864 and the Cadillac Honor Guard. Gerald had a good sense of humor, owned a team of horses, liked fishing and camping, enjoyed his grandchildren, and wintered in Florida for many years.

Gerald is survived by his wife Ada, children; Clifford John (Teresa) Baughan, and Monica Lynn Baughan of Lake City, brothers; Micheal Baughan of Grand Rapids and Paul (Donna) Baughan of Florida, and a sister; Janis (Ron) Campbell of Marquette, grandchildren; Kyle A. McLeod and Riley D. McLeod of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter; Amanda, June 1972, and a sister; Deborah Hill.

There will be a memorial gathering and luncheon on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm. at the Lake Township Hall, 8105 W. Kelly Rd, Lake City, Michigan.
