Thank you so much for sharing that story. I remember that day quite well. I am so glad you got to meet my Dad, even if it was for a brief moment in time. I will continue to rescue any stranded boaters carrying on the family tradition. See you on the Lake!Sincerely, Jean Egbert Prangley

Our Condolences to the Egbert Family, The Anger-Spicer & Smolenski Family are so sorry that we won't be able to be with you on Sat as you in share in the celebration of Earl's life. We will always remember the close friendship of these two families, Pat & John Anger & Earl & Mary. They had so many good times together at Sapphire Lk, They loved challenging each other to card games well into the night as well as many trips taken together further north to see the sights & the fall colors. They even traveled south to Gulf Shores, AL to escape the cold & snowy MI winters while continuing their fun times together. We will be with you in thought & prayers on Sat as you celebrate & remember your wonderful father!Pat Anger-SpicerCheryl & Pete Smolenski

Dear family,, our prayers are with you today. You are a wonderful brunch of kids! We love to be together. Remember to always be there for each other. That is what your mom and dad would want. We will celebrate in the spring - a new, eternal life of your mom and dad together. Much love, Aunt Tisha and Uncle Ray and family.
Message from Rick Frawley - January 31, 2017 at 03:17 PM

I only knew Earl briefly as I had only met him once and that was this past summer. He and his daughter came to the aid of me and my brother as we were stranded on the north side of Lake Saphire by a heavy wind with a sailboat and a non functioning pontoon boat. We shared a few laughs as we tried to rig this sorry collection up for towing but we managed to get everyone back safely. Though our contact was brief he impressed me as a true gentleman with a great sense of humor. The thoughts and prayers of the Frawley and Ellis families are with all those who knew him. We know well the pain that comes from loosing loved ones and are comforted only with the knowledge that they are in a better place with the Lord.
