At my wedding, Uncle Dave wheeled up at my dollar dance expecting a lap dance! Hilarious. With a gracious nod of my husband I twirled Dave around and danced upon his leg like a dirty hooker. Just saying that brought a tear to my eye....Uncle Dave as I know him is a man of great character. He loves his wife, ALOT. Although I was a neice - my dirty dancing had to go through my Aunt Lorrie first! LOL. Nah JK, Uncle Dave said to me once, "Lorrie doesn't care, hide in my closet!" My heart aches, and I will continue to keep the memory alive, because it feels good to do so :)

Im sorry I am not there to hug each of you individually ~ God Bless..I will pray he finds a way to bring you peace...Katrina Pace and family

I remember one time when I was working with Dave at the house after a stroke (if I remember correctly), and we were walking around the kitchen/ Dinning area and he commented on the tile that had loosened. I said that my husband and I wanted to put tile down in our old farmhouse. Dave said " Don't do it because it will only come back up again and again." Well I wish I could tell Dave I listened to his VERY WISE advice, but I can't cause he is gone...... and I didn't listen. Wise words from Dave. Wish I would have taken that advice. Sorry for the family's loss and praying for peace for all of you. I just lost my Dad in August and I know it is a very difficult process.

I will miss you Uncle Dave, especially because you are profoundly a good man, husband, father, and grandfather.:)

I always knew it was Dave calling here, because before I even finished my greeting I heard "Rockni' Robin!" No one else has called me that in years, just Dave. He was a fighter, and I always marveled at the challenges he overcame. We could all use a little of his gumption. Dave will be missed by so many. I thank God for sharing him with us, and take comfort knowing that he can stroll at his leisure in Heaven, taking in the beauty. No wheelchair necessary there.

Dear Prause Family-David, Kim and Tracy,The 'La Fuente" neighbors, Mark, Shelley, Melissa and Jeremy are sad to know that your Dad is gone, and now looking at the pictures, brings back those good memories of time spent with him, and all the laughs we had. He truly was a fighter in this life, making the best of each battle he fought, and always in good spirits. We were always amazed how much he could get done in a day, never complaining, and looking to the needs of others. You are indeed blessed to have had a father that was so dedicated to his family and he leaves you with that constant reminder to perservere, always living each day to the fullest. May God be pleased with his servant David, rejoicing in his presence in Heaven. Love and prayers for your hearts to mend,Shelley and Mark
