Max Ronald Fenby

Max Ronald Fenby of Lake City passed away on February 11, 2016 at the University Medical Center of El Paso, Texas. He was 78 years old.
Max was born on November 21, 1937 to Malcom and Florence (HeVel) Fenby in Greendale Township, Midland County, MI.
He married Teresa Eubank on April 20, 1980 at the United Methodist Church in Cadillac.
Max was a DNR officer for 28 years and 25 days. He loved his job and the people he worked with. For Teresa’s valentine gift he rebuilt an old sawmill. They cut the trees and sawed the lumber they used to build their home of 34 years. He was very active and instrumental in building an enclosed chapel at Pleasant Valley Bible Camp, along with other maintenance and building projects. He participated with Project Cain Fire, and developed a prototype hand pump to bring water to the villages in South America. He was very active in constructing Right to Life bill boards, and, attended several Sanctity of Life Marches in Washington, DC. He also loved fishing, hunting, and doing gun shows. He had a personal relationship with the Lord for many years, and he was a member of the Lake City Christian Reformed Church for 7 years. He enjoyed his weekly small home group Bible Study. Now he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
Max is survived by his wife Teresa; children, Ron (Wanda) Fenby, Michele (Ray) Parker, Steve (Diane) Fenby, and Randolph (Salvi) Fenby; sister, Awilda Gill; sister-in-law, Barbara Fenby; grandchildren, Rhonda Green, Ronald and Deanna Fenby, Gregory Parker, Natalie Parker, and Sophia Fenby; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and 6 nieces and nephews.
He has been preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Malcom; brother, Raymond Fenby; and, a grandson, Darrel Fenby.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Young Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19, at the Lake City Christian Reformed Church at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery in the spring.
