Joyce R. Armstead, age 74 of West Branch, formerly of Lake City, passed away June 11, 2016 at her home.
Joyce was born October 11, 1941 in Lake City to Basil and Margaret (Reinink) Francisco.
Joyce was raised in Lake City and was a graduate of the Class of 1959 of Lake City High School. She was employed by the State of Michigan’s Department of Social Services for many years before her retirement.
Her interests included traveling with Bill, spending time with her family, going to the beach and working in her flower garden. She enjoyed dancing and listening to Bill and the band play country music.
Joyce is survived by her life time partner Bill Freeman of West Branch, her daughter Shelly (Dave) Marcusse of Lake City and son Scott (Glenda) Armstead of Blanchard, OK, grandchildren: Daniel, Dillon and Hannah Marcusse, Casey Klein, Angie (Craig) Helsel, Ashley and Ryan Armstead and several great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers Jim and Jeff Francisco and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Sherry Klein, brothers: Jerry, Jack and Jay and sisters: Joan, Judy and Jean.
A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Lake City Christian Reformed Church. Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery.
