Robert E. Lenz

Robert Eugene Lenz, age 89, of Prudenville passed away on Monday October 3, 2022 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Robert was born on February 7, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to Ernest and Helen (Fisher) Lenz. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for many years before retiring. Robert was married to Phyllis Winans on October 31, 1965 in Flint Michigan and she preceded him in death. Robert later married Evah M. Sherman on September 20, 1997 in Prudenville. He was a member of the Houghton Lake Moose where he served as the Governor for many years. He enjoyed all types of sports, including bowling, softball and watching the Detroit Lions.

Robert is survived by his children; Robert "Bobby" Lenz, Jr. of Virginia, Danny Lenz of Montana, Patrick Lenz of Oklahoma, Mark Lenz of Troy, Connie Clark of Prudenville, Stephen Clark of West Branch, Kevin Clark of West Branch and Gene Berry, step-children; Carol Aldrich, Poncho (Lana) Aldrich and Willy Aldrich, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and brother; Bernie (Jan) Lenz of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Phyllis Lenz in 1996, wife; Evah Mae Lenz in 2017, children; William Clark, Dennis Clark and David  Clark.

Per Robert's request cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 8, 2022. The family will greet people starting at 12 pm at the Deer Run Estates Beach House located at 684 W. Houghton Lake Drive, Prudenville. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
