Richard "Dick" Lepper Obituary

Richard "Dick" G. Lepper, age 92, of Houghton Lake passed away on Saturday September 17, 2022.

Dick was born on November 9, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to George and Lillian (Strohmeier) Lepper. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Richard was married on April 7, 1951 to Ilene E. Droste. The couple moved to the Houghton Lake area from Madison Heights and Florida in 1966. He was the owner and operator of the Swiss Inn for many years. Dick was a member of  St. John Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working on model trains and boats, doing puzzles and going fishing.   

Dick is survived by his son; Dave (Midge) Lepper of Houghton Lake, daughter-in-law; Kathy Lepper, grandchildren; Lisa, Kate, Scott and Kelly, great grandchildren; Cody, Tyler, Kennady and Kollins, sister; Diane Monahan of Canton. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Ilene E. Lepper and son; Tom Lepper. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday September 30, 2022 at 11 am at Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville. Memorial contributions in memory of Richard are asked to be directed to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
