Loyce "Lucille" (Brazzle) Corson

Loyce "Lucille" Corson, age 90, of Houghton Lake, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Lucille was born on January 16, 1936, in Waverly, Tennessee, to James and Pearl (Forssee) Brazzle. She was married on December 2, 1955, in Waverly, Tennessee, to Robert Corson. The couple moved to Houghton Lake in 1957. She was a member of the Houghton Lake Church of Christ. Lucille enjoyed sewing, camping, baking, but most of all spending time with her family.

Lucille is survived by her children, Donna (Lewis Gould) Peterson, Dale Corson, and Doug (Treasa Berney) Corson, grandchildren, Dulce, Chris, Nicole, Vickie, Rob, Daric, Samantha, Amber, Heather, and Ashlee, Seventeen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, sisters, Jenny Johsnon, and Sue (Bill) Towns, and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, sister, and five brothers.  

A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 2 pm - 4 pm at the Roscommon Township Hall. Memorial contributions in memory of Lucille are asked to be directed to the family. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
