Jane Tripp Obituary

Jane Kay Tripp, of Lake City, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026. She was 75.

Jane was born on February 22, 1951 in Cadillac, Michigan to Gilbert Raymond and Margaret Frances (Turner) Lamont Sr. After graduating from high school, Jane married her high school sweetheart, Gary Lee Geiger Sr., and together they welcomed a son, Gary Jr. She later married Mike Tripp, and their family grew with the addition of another son, Joseph. Jane dedicated her career to Burton Public Schools, where she served as secretary to the superintendent. She took great pride in her work and genuinely enjoyed the friendships and experiences she found throughout her years of service. She was an incredibly proud mother who never hesitated to travel across the country to support and cheer on her children in all of life's milestones and accomplishments. She treasured family cookouts, where laughter, stories, and home-cooked meals brought everyone together and created lasting memories. In her later years, Jane shared a special bond with her twin sister, Jean. The two were nearly inseparable and opened their hearts and home to countless shelter animals, providing love, comfort, and a second chance to animals in need. Above all else, Jane cherished the time spent with her family.

Jane is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Michelle Geiger Jr. of Lake City; grandchildren, Bradley Geiger, Haley Geiger, Hannah Geiger, Hunter Geiger, Madison Tripp, and Camilla Tripp; her brother, Roderick Lamont of Oscoda; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and frirneds
