Harry Burton 'Michael Kassett' Cooper, 72, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday March 13, 2020 at home with his loving family by his side.
Michael was born on September 25, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to Harry and Patricia(Cassett) Cooper. He grew and attended school in the Flint area. His interest in and love for the entertainment industry led him to move to California and the Los Angeles area. Harry worked as an actor under the stage name of Michael Kassett. He played Dr. Mark Hamilton on The Guiding Light and made many appearances on other shows such as S.W.A.T. and The John Larroquette Show, whom he had become close friends with. He also hosted a show on PBS. Michael was also a renowned numerologist who was sought out by several in the Entertainment Industry. Due to failing health he spent the last two years in Houghton Lake with his brother and sister-in-law.
Surviving Mr.Cooper are his brother, Richard(Deborah) Johnson of Houghton Lake; half brother, Jeff(Cheryl) Chambers of Unionville. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Johnson.
Memorial Services for Harry Burton Cooper will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Michael are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
