Dale Webster Obituary

Dale A. Webster, age 89 of Lake City passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024 at home with his family.

Dale was born August 25, 1934 at home in New Haven Township, Michigan to Garms and Iva (Davis) Webster.

Dale was united in marriage to the former Sharon Nestle on July 1, 1961 in Alma.

Dale was an adept U.S. Air Force pilot, navigating the skies with skill and enjoying the freedom of the open air. After his military service he continued his love of flying by undertaking trips with family across the United States and venturing to the Bahamas with friends.

His working career included farming where he learned a connection to the land and hard work. Later, he played a role in the automotive industry as a foreman at Oldsmobile, demonstrating commitment and leadership in his professional career.

In his downtime, Dale enjoyed spending time with friends and family snowmobiling,  camping, and water skiing. His favorite place to live was on the lake where he built his   cottage, after it had been roughed in, and then in his newly constructed home. He loved cars, of which he had 80, helping people, and traveling with the Airstream club after retirement. All children, especially his own two, were drawn to his comforting nature.

Dale will be remembered for his easygoing nature, laughter, and unwavering spirit which left an impact on all who knew him. Family and friends will miss him dearly.

Dale is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon and their son and daughter, Mark (Lyla)  Webster of Ovid and Stacie (Russell) Neview of McAllen, TX , nine grandchildren, Zak (Jen), Megan (Casey), Steven, Graciela (Adam), Madison (Trent), Hannah (Matthew), Monica (Josh), Ethan and Chloe (Ian) and eight great grandchildren, Silas, Dillenger, Zander, Owen, Zoey, Jamie, Harper and Benson.
