Victor J. Kline, age 91, of Lake City passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Autumnwood of McBain.
Victor was born March 16, 1926 in Lake Township of Missaukee County to Charles and Lillian (Lindquist) Kline.
In 1998 he married Ellen Hamilton in the Lake City Christian Reformed Church.
Victor was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City. He was also a member of the Lake City Christian Reformed Church where he served as Deacon.
Victor was a farmer, and also ran the Town Talk Gas Station in Cadillac and had been employed by Kysor and the Super Kleen Laundramat in Lake City and had been grounds keeper at the Marina Shores Condo in Cadillac. Victor had volunteered at Friends Ministry in Lake City, loved working in his yard and enjoyed many winters in Bradenton, Florida.
Victor is survived by his wife Ellen, his children: Charles (Nancy) Kline of Durand, Evelyn (Bob) Raden and Skeeter ( Angie) Kline both of Cadillac, and three step children: Beverly Vanderstelt and Gary (Sandi) Hamilton both of Ludington and Randal (Diane) Hamilton of Lake City, 7 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren, 6 step great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by two sisters: Kay (Chris) Park of Lake City and Charlene (Carl) Hopkins of Wheeler, sister in law Phyllis Kline of Lake City, a brother in law Pete Stevens and another brother in law Gilbert (Pauline) Ensign of Oregon and many nieces and nephews.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Norm (Kathie) Kline and Harvey Kline, a sister, Gladys Stevens, mother in law, Ethel Ensign, step son in law, Bill Vanderstelt, brother in law, Jerry Cotter, grandson, Damian and granddaughter in law, Sherry.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Lake City Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Mical Pugh officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 until the time of service. Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lake City Christian Reformed Church.
