Richard "Fox" Raden

Richard J. "Fox" Raden age 69,of Lake City passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his home.
He was born January 15, 1948 in Cadillac to Richard and Lena (Fockler) Raden.
He married the former Audrey E. Mitschelen December 31, 1977.
Fox was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Jackson Koster Gray Legion Post #300 of Lake City and a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Lake City. He was a past member of the Lake City Kiwanis Club and was involved in the Lake City Recycling Project for many years. He enjoyed collecting and boiling maple syrup, playing cards and Dominoes and spending valuable time with family and friends. He was an active supporter of all Lake City sports, especially those his children or nieces and nephews were involved in, and coached Junior Varsity Softball for Lake City High School for four years.
He was employed with PK Contracting for 34 years.
Fox is survived by his wife, Audrey, and children Billie Raden, Chris Raden and Adam Taylor all of Lake City, five brothers; Ken (Linda) Raden, Chuck (Teresa) Raden, Bill (Colleen) Raden, Doug (Judy) Raden and Ray (Rochelle) Raden all of Lake City and two sisters; Anne (Bob) Gothard of Lake City and Jean Clason of Destin, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers in law: Allen Clason and Allan Mitschelen.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Jean Smith officiating, Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Lake City Area School and St John Lutheran Church.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Jennings South Cemetery followed by a gathering at the Raden home.
