Hyla Maye Westveer, age 86, of Lansing, formerly of Lake City, passed away March 22, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
Hyla was born September 9, 1931 in Fife Lake to Claude and Esther (Westbrook) Battenfield.
She was married to Lloyd Gautz and later to Gerald Westveer. They each preceded her in death.
Hyla is survived by five children Ida Myers of Lake City, Esther Burruss of Lansing, Lloyd Gautz of Texas, John (Tara) Gautz of Maryland and Jim (Tina) Gautz of Mississippi, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a special caregiver Krista Leverett.
Memorial services will be held March 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Lansing with Paul Hahm officiating.
Burial will take place at the Stittsville Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
