Helen Johanna Bogroff, age 96, of Lake City passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Belle Oakes Living Center surrounded by her family.

She was born October 14, 1920 to Siegfried and Cacelia Venier in Merritt, Michigan

She married Harold Bogroff on March 18, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1998.

Helen was very active in 4-H and Home Extension. She and Harold spent many wonderful winters in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Helen was a member of the St Stephen Catholic Church in Lake City.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing and loved to play cards, especially bridge.

She is survived by one son, Steve Bogroff of Manton, and three daughters: Joanne ( Ralph) Trim and Mary (Gene) Bliesener of Lake City and Sandra (Dale) Whipple of Cadillac,
10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, an infant son, daughter in law Mary Bogroff, two brothers Dr. Anton Venier and Dr. Joseph Venier and two sisters: Marie Currie and Anna Miller.

There is not a memorial service planned.
