Eugene John McNulty, age 86 of Lake City, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Munson Healthcare, Cadillac Hospital.

Gene was born July 13, 1931 in Detroit to Hugh and Nan (Gallager) McNulty.

He married the former Winnie (Schneider) Zelle June 22, 1984 in Livonia.

Gene was employed with the City of Livonia as a building supervisor and retired in 1987 and moved to Lake City. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City. Gene enjoyed gardening, golfing and hunting. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Lake City and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife Winnie, a daughter Lisa McNulty of Clawson, a brother Patrick (Kathy) McNulty of Sterling Heights and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Cowan officiating.
A time of visitation will be on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Young Funeral Home.

A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 the Lake City Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Stephen Catholic Church or the American Legion Post 300.
