Ernestine DeGroot, age 81 of Moorestown passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Munson Healthcare, Cadillac Hospital.

She was born December 17, 1935 in Hillsdale, Indiana to James and Arabelle (Cain) Bennett.

Ernestine and Larry Reid have been together since 1989.

She was involved in the Moorestown Methodist Church and the Sunshine Club. She enjoyed shopping and quilt making and preparing food dishes over the years for the Norwich hunters dinners and potlucks. She loved her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by Larry of Moorestown and children: Cathy Whitmore of Ruskin, Florida, Sherrie (Lannie) Agee of Brownsburg, Indiana, Janet of Mooresville, Indiana, Larry Jr. (Tina) Reid of Beaverton, Roy Reid and Mark of Flint and Joe (Shawnda) Reid of Beaverton and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Josh Henderson officiating.

A time of visitation will be on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Young Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in the Moorestown Cemetery.
