Brandon Gregory Howey, age 31 of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Lake City, passed away at his home.
Brandon was born August 5, 1985 in Cadillac to Gregory and Melissa (DeBow) Howey.
He graduated from Lake City High School in 2003 and earned his Associate Degree as a Biomedical Equipment Technician from Muskegon Community College in 2005. He was employed in his profession at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Brandon enjoyed photography and gaming. He traveled extensively to continue his education and was also involved in technology and building computers.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Greg and Melissa Howey of Lake City, three sisters: Heather Howey (Ricky Guevara) of Merritt, Jessica (Jerry) Wallace and Kristen Howey both of Lake City, nieces and nephews: Mikel, Kayden, Brogen, Jasmine, Selina and Jordyn.
He is also survived by his Paternal grandparents: Steve Sr. and Darlena Howey of Merritt and Maternal grandmother Ann DeBow of Lake Isabella, Aunts and Uncles: Steve Jr (Lisa) Howey, Gary (Laura) Howey, Pam (Gary) Hamel, Terrie Howey, Laurie Dugenske, Debra Kline, Julie (Jim) DooLittle and Rev. Martin (Cindy) DeBow and many cousins and friends.
Brandon was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather John DeBow.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Merritt United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Russell officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Young Funeral Home and also on Sunday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
Burial will take place at the Whispering Pines Cemetery in West Branch Township.
