Wayne MacDonald Obituary

Wayne J. MacDonald, age 81, of Roscommon passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born on July 21, 1937 in Petoskey, Michigan to John and Amy (Spencley) MacDonald. He served in the US Army, during the Korean War. Wayne retired from the Iron Workers Union Local #80 and Local #292 where he was a sheet metal worker for many years. He moved to the area over 30 years ago from Sterling Heights after his retirement. Wayne was a former member of the Roscommon County Sheriff Posse, he enjoyed hunting and fixing things.

Wayne is survived by his son; Stephen (Tammy) MacDonald of Gladwin, grandchildren; Emily, Nate, Trevor, Stephanie and Thomas, nieces; Susan Bell of Roscommon and Jeanette McDonald of Roscommon; close friends; Edmund (Michelle) Sciberras of Houghton Lake and Bill (Sandy) Murto of Madison Heights. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Sharon, sons; Walter and Rick and eight siblings.

Per Wayne's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
