Shirley A. (Dranberg) Kroenke

Shirley A. Kroenke, age 94 of McBain, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at her home.

Shirley was born September 29, 1925 in Halfway, Michigan to Arthur and Jeanette (Edwards) Dranberg.

She married Ruben John Kroenke Jr. April 6, 1946 in Port Huron and he preceded her in death.

Shirley was the best Mom any kid could ever have.  She loved living in the northern country of Michigan where she enjoyed painting, knitting, traveling and camping. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word and this summer she could even be found mowing her yard.  Her family says “We had the perfect parents.”

Shirley is survived by her children Dennis Kroenke of Lake Orion, Thomas (Renee) Kroenke of Sterling Heights and Wendy (Dan) Przedwiecki of Palm Bay, Florida, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a brother Gary (Pam) Dranberg of Florida.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Ruben in 2005 , two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Richard Bachman officiating. 

A time of visitation will be Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Mount Clemens.
