Robert "Bob" Joseph Ford

Cadillac, Michigan- Robert "Bob" Joseph Ford, of Cadillac, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was 73.
 
Bob was born on November 7, 1945 in Petoskey to Ralph and Mary (Benjamin) Ford. Following high school, Bob received his certification from the National Hardwood Lumber Association Inspection School. He spent his career working as an inspector for lumber of all sorts. On July 10, 1965 he entered into marriage with the former Janice Martinchek in Petoskey. He enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, gardening or traveling around. In his spare time, Bob liked wood-working. He was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac. Bob cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Ford of Cadillac; two sons, Noel Ford of Cadillac and Jason Ford of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Alexa Celis, Jack Ford, Blake Ford and Natalia Ford; and many other loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Ford.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date this summer.
