Margaret Marie (Podbilski) Benninger

Cadillac, Michigan- Margaret Marie Benninger, of Cadillac, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac. She was 92.
 
Margaret was born on September 4, 1926 in Cadillac to Walter and Gaynelle (Stroh) Podbilski. She was a graduate of Cadillac High School. Margaret entered into marriage with William Benninger on November 27, 1946 in Cadillac. The couple spent over 50 years together until his time of passing on August 11, 1997. She loved traveling, her and William would snow-bird their winters in Gulf Shores for many years. Margaret was a life-long member of the Cadillac United Methodist Church where she volunteered much of her time to the women's circles. She cherished the time spent with her family, and especially enjoyed camping trips and family gatherings.
 
Margaret is survived by her children, Ron (Mary-Jo) Benninger and Sue (Mike) Stump; grandchildren, Tammy Benninger-Reed, Christa (Joel) Cook, Jaclyn (Brent Wahr) Benninger, Bill (Carrie) Benninger, Michael (Ashley) Stump and Matthew Stump; great-grandchildren, Devin (Laura) Reed, Logon Neihardt, Austin Reed, Alec Neihardt, Colin Reed, Zack Gunnett, Kalee Cook, Steven Mason, Emily Mason and Dylan Stump; siblings, Don (Billie) Podbilski, Jean Olson, Barb Sluiter and Joan Lowe; sister-in-law, Midge Batt; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Walter and Gaynelle; brother, Bob Podbilski and a grandson, Todd Benninger.
 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior with Judy Coffey and Rev. Tom Ball to preside also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac. Music will be provided by the recordings of David Stump " 'Til We Meet Again".
 
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cadillac United Methodist Church or the Cadillac Area Honor Guard.
