Gerald Eugene "Jerry" Sessions, 87, of  Prudenville passed away on Saturday June 8, 2019 at home with his loving family by his side.

Jerry was born on October 14, 1931 in Ionia, Michigan to Russel and Ruth (Davis) Sessions. Gerald was married to his best friend, Laurel Colister, on March 11, 1961 in Saginaw.  The couple moved from Saginaw to Prudenville in 1990.  He owned and operated Sessions Building and Remodeling in Saginaw and later House Doctor in Prudenville, where he was known as "Doc".  He was in business for over 60 years. Jerry was a member of Houghton Lake United Methodist Church, Houghton Lake Masonic Lodge 579 F&AM Past Worshipful Master, Scottish Rite Valley of Bay City 32nd Degree, Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple-Noble, Knights Templer St Bernard Commandery #16 Honorary Past Commander, Royal Arch Chapter #31 Saginaw, Houghton - Higgins Elks Lodge, and a bell ringer for Salvation Army for many years.  He loved to sing, loved his church, loved his Fraternal Brotherhood, and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving Mr. Sessions are his loving wife of 58 years, Laurel  Sessions of Prudenville; three daughters, Susan (David) Seaford of Prudenville, Karen (David) Sessions Swiler of Prudenville, and Patricia (Brian) Lambert of Royal Oak; son, Gerald R. Sessions of Prudenville; five Grandchildren, Ryan (Jess), Andrew (Missy), Jeffrey (Elisza), Joshua, and Jenny (Gordy); two great grandchildren, Jax, and Beckham; three sisters, Lois (Tom) Peacock of Lake Odessa, Carole (Don) Converse of Leslie, and Juanita Reno of AZ; several nieces and nephews.  Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. 

Memorial Services for Gerald Eugene Sessions will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday June 14, 2019 from Houghton Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. George Spencer officiating. Interment will be in Denton Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday June 14, 2019 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Houghton Lake United Methodist Church with Masonic Services being conducted at 9:30 am.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Gerald are asked to be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N.
