Bruce Wayne Edwards

Cadillac- Bruce Wayne Edwards, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly after a motorcycle accident on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. He was 64.
 
Bruce was born on April 7, 1955 in Cadillac to Rex and Joann (Gillette) Edwards. He was a graduate of Marion High School in 1973. Bruce owned and operated the Insurance Lab of Marion for many years. He practiced martial arts and was a second degree black belt in Taekwondo. Bruce enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He made several trips to Canada on special fishing trips. In his spare time, he would play in several bands, he was an talented drummer. He loved traveling around on his motorcycle and made many memories cruising around. He was a member of the Marion Eagles. Bruce cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
 
Bruce is survived by his children, Rhiannon (Jeremy) Bode of Vogel Center, Jeremy (Michaela) Johnson of Maryland, Jason Johnson of Marion and Austin Edwards of Shelby Township; son-in-law, Jared Smith; grandchildren, Kaley, Ethan, Samantha, Katlyn, Trevor, Alyssa, Kaylee, Jacob, Eli and Maddison; siblings, Peggy (Harry) Blodgett, Dennis (Karen) Edwards and Kari (Corey) Edwards-Hillard; nieces and nephews, Wade, Jessy, Rexton, Vada, Paislie, Jayme and Kristina; and many other loving family members and friends.
 
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandy Sue Edwards-Smith; and his parents, Rex and Joann Edwards.
 
A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home.
