Bonita Santy Obituary

Bonita J. (Kapcin) Santy, 78, of Winter Haven, Florida and formerly of Houghton Lake passed away on Monday July 8, 2019 in Winter Haven.

Bonita was born on March 24, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Irene (Kober) Kapcin. She moved with her parents and sister to Houghton Lake in 1952. Bonita graduated with the class of 1959 from Houghton Lake Community Schools. She was married to John Santy, in Winter Haven, on April 24, 2000. Bonita was a former member of the Houghton Lake VFW Post #4034 Auxillary. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially the 1959 class reunions, and casino trips with her sister, Beverly.

Surviving Mrs. Santy are her loving husband, John Santy of Winter Haven, Florida; two daughters; Stephanie(James) Thomas of Texas, and Diana Spain of Florida; son, Donald Spain of Texas; four grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jerry Kilburn of Houghton Lake; several nieces and nephews. Bonita was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Beverly Kilburn.

Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Boinita J. Santy will be held at a later date.
