William “Bill” Alderden, age 54 of Lake City passed away, Monday, March 14, 2016 at his home.
Bill was born August 7, 1961 in Hammond, Indiana to William and Charlotte (Pearson) Alderden.

In 1989 he obtained his real estate license and sold real estate for 25 years, opening RE/MAX Professionals in 1997.
He and Susan pursued their dreams of running a successful fishing and hunting lodge up in Canada and bought Whitefish Lodge in 2013. They had a love for the outdoors and shared that experience with many others.
Bill was an active member of the Lake City Christian Reformed Church.
Bill had a true love for the Lord and it showed in everything he did. He will be missed by many.
Bill is survived by his wife Susan and children: Brandi Root and Stephani (Michael Escalera) Root both of Lake City, and grandchildren Cameron McInnes, Noah and Kadence Root, Destany Minzey, Paige Wilson, Hailey Root and Maritza Escalera.

Bill has been a believer in Jesus as his savior for many years but it has been through the events of the past few years that made him realize how important his salvation really was. Through his parents death and his battle with cancer, he came to have peace knowing that God had the reins of his life. Through it all, grew a sincere desire for his family to acquire the faith he had so that they may join him in heaven.
