Ronald Lee Marsh, of Kaleva, passed away December 27, 2014 at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was 56 years old.
Ron was born April 2, 1958 to Lyle and Hazel (Koopman) Marsh. He joined the U.S. Army after high school and served for eight years.
He was employed at Packaging Corporation in Filer City as an industrial electrician until his retirement in 2013.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved having the latest equipment that went along with it.
He leaves behind his two sons, Jason and Alex, five brothers and sisters; Marcia (Daniel) Martinez, Donna (Walter) Hull, Carl (Gloria) Marsh, Betty (Leonard) Menerey and Larry (Janice) Marsh. He is also survived by one step sister, Angela (Skip) Harvey and two step brothers, Richard (Fe) Smith, Randy (Fran) Smith, his stepfather Carl Smith and a special friend Kris.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Merritt Butterfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Schrock officiating.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
Burial will take place in the spring, next to his parents, at the Falmouth Cemetery.
