Ronald W. Loucks, age 70 of Grand Rapids, formerly of Lake City, passed away on April 20, 2018 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Ron was born May 19, 1947 in Pontiac to Jean D. and Doris A. (Donley) Loucks.

He graduated from Lake City High School and entered the military to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. Ron was employed at General Motors Truck and Coach in Pontiac and also engaged in landscaping for Oakland University. He loved camping and the out of doors.

Ron is survived by his two daughters: Margie Loucks of Arizona and Dorleena (Shane) DeClue of Flint and three step sons: Bill Yates, Joe Yates and Josh Yates.

He is also survived by a brother: Loyal (Carol) Loucks of Traverse City and sisters: Norleen (Virgil) Wenzel of Freeland, Bonnie Loucks of Bay City and Sharon (Steve) Shell of Grand Rapids and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents: Jean Loucks and Doris Robinson and his wife: Jody Loucks and a sister: Janice Loucks.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Lake City Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City.
