Penny Aldrich of Lake City passed away peacefully on June 13, 2016 at Autumnwood of McBain. She was 69 years old.
Penny was born November 13, 1946 in Detroit, to Paul and Ann Spry. She grew up in Taylor, Michigan and graduated from Taylor Center High School.
She married Dennis Aldrich on April 2, 1966 and they remained in Taylor until 1995, when they moved to Lake City, Michigan. They just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in their Lake City home with family and friends.
Penny worked in the banking industry and enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, knitting and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Aldrich, one daughter and son in law Dawn and Ron Hahn, brother and sister in law George and Ann Spry and three granddaughters, Lindsey Michalik, Hannah Michalik and Grace Hahn.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Harold Aldrich, her parents and stepmother, Paul and Ann Spry and Gaynell Spry, her sister, Patty Spry and her mother in law Virginia Aldrich.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Northland Community Church, 5855 S. Morey Road, McBain, MI 49657.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
