Patsy Jean Blue, age 69 of Reed City, formerly of Marion, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at her home.

She was born May 15, 1945 in Monroe, Michigan to Ernest and Maria (Zeller) Bamm.

On March 6, 1966 Patsy was united in marriage to Roger Ray Blue in Houghton Lake. He preceded her in death August 8, 2008.

Patsy owned the Crossroads Quilt Shop in Reed City and was instrumental in creating the Quilts to Comfort that was responsible in donating lap quilts to the Cancer Center in Reed City. Patsy enjoyed quilting, sewing, camping and dancing.

She is survived by two daughters: Maria (Ken) Lenahan of Reed City and Carol (Dennis) Fredin of Wixom , as well as five grandchildren: Nicole, Bethany, Scott, Alex and Alyssa.

Patsy is also survived by two brothers: Ron (Brenda) Bamm of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Darryl Bamm of Cadillac, two sisters in law: Dianna Bamm of Cadillac and Joyce Johnson of Burton, and a brother and sister in law Don and Gladys Blue of Falmouth.
Also surviving her is a special friend Mike Wiggins and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her husband, were her parents, a sister Carol Ann and a brother in law Daryle Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Keith Mannes officiating. A time for visitation will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and also from 12:00 Noon until service time on Thursday.

Burial will take place in the Aetna Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer Center in Reed City.
