Marilyn Louise Chaffee, age 76 of Lake City passed away Monday, December 4, 2017
at her home.
She was born October 28, 1941 in Cadillac to Leonard and Melvina (Hansen) Brigham.
She married Jack Chaffee Jr on January 22, 1960 in Cadillac. Jack preceded her in
death January 7, 1997.
Marilyn loved gardening and being out of doors. She enjoyed spending time with her
family and friends and adored babies.
She retired from Cadillac Rubber and Plastics after thirty years of employment.
Marilyn is survived by her children Shelly (Cameron) Harwell of Manton, Ron Chaffee
of Washington and Greg Chaffee of Texas, eight grandchildren: Ronald Simmons, Daniel
Chaffee, Jaxon Chaffee, Ashley Kotalik, Candace Chaffee, Bradley Geiger, Grace Harwell
and Faith Harwell, and a great grandchild Maria Simmons.
She is also survived by two sisters Evelyn McDill and Sharon Rogers.
Marilyn was also preceded in death by her parents, nine brothers and a son Jeff.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Young
Funeral Home.
