Laurel (Glenn) Galloup of Jennings, passed away October 1, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. He was 75 years old.
Glenn was born June 26, 1939 in Luther to Oscar and Marie (Beebe) Galloup.
He grew up in Luther and graduated from Luther High School. He married the former Gail Helmer June 27, 1959
Glenn was employed at Cadillac Malible Irons for 23 years and was also the sexton for the Jennings Cemeteries for 48 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his horses. He especially enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He dearly loved his family.
Survivors include his wife, Gail and his children Melvin (Pat) Galloup, Lori Galloup and Randy (Donnette) Galloup.
His grandchildren include Shawn (Selena), Allen (Andrea), Scott (Amy), Kate (Ty), Jordan (Allie), Lisa (Jeff), Stacey (Brandon), Amber, Chelsea, Lauren, Dylan, Maddie, Brooke, Jerika, Jenny, Corgan, Harper, Caden and Carley.
Survivors also include his mother, Marie Allen and Faye (Barb) Galloup, Doug (Julie) Galloup, Bill Galloup, Bob Galloup, Jeanne (Raymond) Rasmussen and many nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father Oscar and sons Allen Dean and David Lewis and his brother Dale Galloup.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Young Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, October 3, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
