Homer Robert Foster, age 77 of Lake City went to be with his wife and son on November 25, 2016 at his home.

Homer was born February 19, 1939 in Risco, Missouri to William and Saurah (Tate) Foster.

He married the former Mary Joan Martin, September 9, 1963 in Fairfax, Virginia. Mary preceded him in death in 1981.

Homer was a veteran of the US Army and was a very avid outdoorsman. He was a hunter, trapper, fisherman and awesome berry picker. He enjoyed trips to the casino and was all about family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Homer is survived by his daughters Mary Lorraine (Frank) Stowell of Lake City, Tina Marie (Tim) Schings and Saurah Ann (Robert) Patton both of Cadillac and fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Bill Foster of Lake City, Joan Johnson and Joe Foster both of California, Danny (Carol) Foster of Cadillac, Joy Henderson of California, Donald Foster and Warren (Sandie Long-Foster) Foster of Cadillac and numerous nieces and nephews.

Homer was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Joan and a son Millard Robert Foster. He was also preceded in death by a sister Marsha, brothers: David, Dale, Curtis and an infant sister, as well as sisters in law: Ann Barbara Foster and Barb Foster and a brother in law: Mike (Pug) Henderson.

A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Lake Missaukee Fire Dept. Building, 702 First Street, Lake City, with Ray Vasser officiating

Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery.
