Herbert Dale Lowry, age 96, of Lake City, formerly of Marion, Ohio passed away May 4, 2016 at the Curry House Assisted Living in Cadillac, Michigan.
Mr. Lowry was born November 14, 1919 in Marion, Ohio to the late Harley M. and Bertha Belle (Markley) Lowry.
He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country during World War II in the Phillipines.
He was also employed by General Motors.
Herbert is survived by his nephews: Dale (Jane) Trickey of Thousands Palms, California and Gerald Lowry of Marion, Ohio and his nieces: Jean (Trickey) Crider of Circleville, Ohio, Sandra (Lowry) Lynch of Gahanna, Ohio, Judy (Lowry) (Jack) Feil of Grove City, Ohio and Billie (Smiley) (Terry) Pierce of Alliance, Nebraska.
Herbert was preceded in death by his wife Irene (Poikey) in 2007, two brothers LeRoy Lowry and Harley Lowry Jr. and a sister Dorothy (Trickey) Smiley.
Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Township, Missaukee County at a later date.
