Helen B. Hamlet passed away August 14, 2015 at Maple Ridge Living Center in Lake City,
She was 85.

Helen was born May 6, 1930 in her house on Brown Road in Arlene, Michigan to William and
Mildred (Fales) Mills.

Helen grew up in Ferndale, Michigan and married her High School sweetheart, Raymond Hamlet,
August 2,1950 in Hazel Park.

Helen, along side Ray, managed Missaukee Mountain Ski area in the late 1950's
thru early 1960's. She then worked as a medical assistant to Dr’s Seger and Garma
in Lake City, retiring in 1996.
She also played a key part in running and supporting Ray's Standard Service in Lake City.

She was very active in The Rebekah Lodge and her church; giving of her time and talents
in helping the community.
Grandma's pride and joy were her three sons, their wives and their children whom she loved passionately, unconditionally and selflessly every day of her life.
That love overflowed to her friends and all those that crossed her path, including a foster son
Rick Hoblet and his family whom she cared for as her own.

Helen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Raymond Hamlet, her sons Mike (Kelley) Hamlet of Lake Ann, Bill (Sarah) Hamlet of Lake City and Tim (Kelly) Hamlet of Kingsley, as well as 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She is also survived by siblings Robert Mills of Birmingham, Claude (Carolyn) Mills of Florida,
Laura (Jim) Stach of Grand Blanc and Roxie Olson of Traverse City.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastors Brian Algie and Dan Willis officiating.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm until service time.
Burial will take place at the Lake City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Calvary Baptist Church, Lake City.
