Harry W. Wilfong, age 80 of Lake City, passed away December 12, 2016.

Harry was born November 21, 1936 in Harman, West Virginia to Garnet and Susan (Roy) Wilfong.

Harry served in the US Air Force as a staff sergeant and worked in the space administration and also served for four years in the US Navy on the USS Chicago.
He was employed by Conway Freight in Dayton, Ohio and was a jet mechanic at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
He moved to Lake City 25 years ago and was a life member of the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City and attended the Lake City Christian Reformed Church.

Harry is survived by a son Randy (Betty) Wilfong of Dayton, Ohio and a daughter Lori Moreno of Dinuba, California, a sister Jeraldine Ketterman and a brother Walter Wilfong both of West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by a son Dennis Wilfong, a stepdaughter Cathy Miller and a step granddaughter Amber Hammond.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Young Funeral Home with Rev. Mical Pugh officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 300 of Lake City.

Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery in the spring.
