Harold Wester of Lake City passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home. He was 95 years old.
He was born on March 23, 1919 to John and Elizabeth Wester in McBain, MI. He was a Private in the US Army. He worked for the State of Michigan as an Agricultural Feed and Fertilizer Inspector for many years. He married Bonnie Louise Keelean on October 8, 1948.
Harold was a member of the American Legion Post 300 for 70 years. He is survived by his wife Bonnie; son, Mark Keelean; grandchildren, Kim (Keelean) Klenk, Scott Keelean, Nicole Sundell and Shawn Deline; great-grandchildren, Hanna Klenk, Madelyn Klenk, Meridith Klenk, Olivia Keelean, Brendan Keelean, Alaina Keelean, Timothy Sherman, Austin Totton, and Lillie Totton.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother’s Neal Wester and John Wester; and, sister’s Alice Hower, Winnie Carlson, and Lucille Green.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Lake City Cemetery with Rev. Jean Smith officiating. American Legion Post 300 will provide military honors.
