Gloria Jean Belknap, age 72 of Moorestown passed away at the Birchwood Tendercare Health Center in Traverse City on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.

Gloria was born April 5, 1942 in Lansing to George and Grace (Nevinnes) Wade.

She married Robert Belknap April 1, 1966. He preceded her in death May 23, 2005.

Gloria was a certified nurses aide in several area nursing homes. She was an avid Detroit Tigers baseball fan and enjoyed camping and raising Yorkies.

Her hobbies included working on puzzles, playing cards and knitting mittens for all the grandkids and also an occasional shopping trip to Walmart.

Gloria is survived by her children: Roberta (Steve) McClelland of Acme, Jim (Paula) Wade of Fife Lake and Robin (Jamie Weatherholt) Sanderson of Moorestown, eight grandchildren: Vikki, James, Amanda, Alan, Mike, Shelley, Michael and Hannah and seven great grandchildren: Tim, Alyssa, Grace, Jordan, Collin, Mary and Samuel.

Besides her husband Robert, she was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Mark Belknap, a granddaughter Carly Belknap-Budrow and six brothers and sisters: Roger, Jim, Bob, George Jr, Luella and Alice.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Young Funeral Home with Rev. William McQueen officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 until service time. Burial will take place in the Moorestown Cemetery.
