Glen F. Corwin, age 81 of Lake City, passed away at his home Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Glen was born June 24, 1933 in Forest Township, Missaukee County to Rufus and Mabel (Wonsey) Corwin.

On October 24, 1959 he married the former Phyllis L. Outman in Butterfield Township at the Nazarene Church.

Glen graduated from Lake City High School in 1951 and worked on the car ferries in Ludington for 7 years. He served in the US Army and worked at Cadillac Metal Casters prior to the Lake City Drop Forge. Glen and Phyllis became owners of Numerical Gage/Inspection Control in Lake City.

He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening, tractors and fishing. He loved family get-to-gethers and music. He played the saxophone in bands and enjoyed square dancing.

Glen is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 55 years and daughter, Connie (Randy) VanderMeulen of Falmouth and son, Lyle (Carol) Corwin of Lake City, brother, Ernie (Diane) Corwin of Lake City and mother in law, Eldora Outman of Lake City.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mallory(Seth) Meeuwenberg of Cadillac, Margo VanderMeulen and fiancé Caleb Kill of Falmouth, Emily, Mikayla and Madison Corwin all of Lake City and one great grandson Sawyer Seth Meeuwenberg .

He was preceded in death by his parents, father in law, Willie Outman and brother in law Richard Outman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Brian Algie officiating.

A time of visitation will be Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery.
