Roger Lanning of Lake City passed away Saturday June 18, 2016 at the Seasons of Life AFC Home in Lake City. He was 80 years old.

Roger was born August 7, 1935 at home in Forest Township, Missaukee County to Earl and Norma (Shrontz) Lanning.

In his younger years he enjoyed working in the Christmas trees. He also liked to fish and get the mail and spend time with family.

Roger is survived by his sisters, Patricia (Gerald) Tisch of Grass Lake and Helen (Kip Helsel) Wagner of Lake City, as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends, Jordan and Candice Shepler of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law, Burdette Wagner and sister, Jackie.

There will be a memorial gathering at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Lake City Cemetery. A celebration of his life luncheon will follow at the home of Helen Wagner, 3240 N 7 Mile Rd., Lake City.
