Gerald Fredrick Swisher Sr. of Lake City passed away December 3, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac; he was 70 years old. He was born on March 29, 1944 in Lawrence, Michigan to Chester P. and Luella (VanRiper) Swisher.

He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, barbecues, bonfires, as well as spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Jean Swisher (Cowgill) Swisher, and children Rhoda J. Rose, Regina R. Swisher, Virginia A. (Robert) Berg, Jerry F. Jr. (Sharon) Swisher, Dwayne A. Swisher, Tonia L. Swisher, and Alice L. Swisher; his brother Art Swisher; sisters, Audrey Wilson, Bell Gilbert, Jo Stone, and Ethelyn Patrick; grandchildren, Rachel, James, Devin, Jordan, Britany, Allan, David, Shawn, Joshua, Mercedes, Dakota, Dwayne Jr., Makenzy, Veronica, and Stephanie, Jr., Makayla, Chasity, Randy, Alexis, Marc, Renezmae, Riley, Ashley; 19 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by Jazmine Cunningham, 13 sisters and brothers, his parents, 4 nieces and one great niece.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 1pm at the Revival Center of Cadillac with Rev. Will Marcum officiating. Visitation will be held 11-1pm on Saturday at the Revival Center.
