Gerald E. McLachlan, age 77 of Lake City, passed away at his home, Monday, October 6, 2014.

Gerald was born October 5, 1937 in Evart Township of Osceola County to Dan and Theresa (Elder) McLachlan.

Mr. McLachlan was employed at Chevy Motors, Truck and Bus Division. He was a member of the UAW. He moved to the Lake City area upon his retirement over 30 years ago. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and the out of doors.

He is survived by two sons: Bryan (Connie) McLachlan, Robbie (Helen) McLachlan, a daughter: Tracey Davis , five grandchildren and the mother of his children: Carleen Cupit and by three step daughters: Penny , Amy and Sally.
He is also survived by a brother Loren (Dorothy) McLachlan and his sisters, Evelyn, Katherine, Marjorie and Velma.

Gerald was preceded in death by wife; Shirley in 2004, four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Young Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Jean Smith officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart.
