Frank Carl Randel of Lake City passed away at his home, on December 3, 2014 . He was 83 years old. He was born on November 2, 1931 to Richard and Anna (Stienke) Randel in Detroit, Michigan. He married Barbara Jean Rombach on September 12, 1953 in Dearborn, Michigan. Frank was owner and operator of the Lake City IGA for 15 years; 1974-1989. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus; he was very supportive of the Church, enjoyed working the annual “Chicken Barbeque” and selling many raffle tickets through the years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, children; Frank J. (Pauline) Randel of Manton, William R. Randel of Houghton Lake, Suzanne (John) Girardot of Lake City, Robert M.(Peggy) Randel of Fife Lake , two sisters Marion Schema of Garden City and Grace VanderBeek of Ithaca, six grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at St Stephen’s Catholic Church with Rev. Jim Siler will be officiating.
