Donald J. Ardis, of Lake City, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Curry House Assisted Living in Cadillac. He was 78 years old.
Don was born November 12, 1937 in Cadillac to Lloyd and Greta (Malone) Ardis.
He married the former Carol Ann Crissman November 4, 1961
Don’s passion was farming and worked hard at it his whole life, as his family owned and operated the Ardis Dairy, which is today a Centennial Farm. He was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Don is survived by his wife Carol, and two sons Steve Ardis and Kevin (Bridgid) Ardis both of Lake City and two grandchildren: Makayla and Gabe.
He is also survived by a sister Jayne (William) Seeley of Canadian Lakes and several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Helen Parker, a brother, John Ardis and a niece Cheryl (Ardis) Miller.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Young Funeral Home. A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m until the time of services.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Missaukee Mountain Ski Park.
