Carl Eugene McKeown of Lake City passed away May 13, 2016 at his home.
Carl was born June 8, 1930 in Grand Rapids to Francis and Dorothy (Phelps) McKeown.
He married the former Yvonne Lou Molitor March 31, 1951in Lake City.
Carl served in the US Army from March 1952 until March 1954. He became a Corporal and was stationed in Orleans, France for 19 months.
He worked as a tower man in the oil fields for several years and retired as the road foreman for the Missaukee County Road Commission after 36 years.
He enjoyed working out of doors and being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Bonnie), a son James (Karen) McKeown of Lake City and a daughter Judy (Robert) Conley of Vienna, VA, grandchildren: Kieran and Meagan Conley of Vienna, VA, Lynn McKeown of Grand Rapids, and Jamie (Daniel) Kohen and great grandchildren, Kefirah, Kivi, Akiva and Aniki Kohen all of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Warren of Grayling, brothers in law John (Joan) Molitor and Don (Betty) Molitor both of Lake City and sister in law Connie Molitor of Plant City, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Dorothy McKeown and parents in law Milton (Nip) and Mabel Molitor and brothers in law George Warren and Ed Molitor.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Norwich Township Hall in Moorestown from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
Burial will take place in the Stittsville Cemetery
