Beverly Jane Burkholder was called home to glory by the good Lord on November 27, 2014. She was peaceful, covered in love and surrounded by her family.
Beverly was born November 10, 1932 in Lake City to Floyd and Bernice (Etzler) Parks.
She grew up in Lake City where she met her husband Harold at 12 years of age.
They courted all through school and married on November 23, 1961. They spent 53 years in marriage and a life time in love.
Beverly worked for the City of Lake City for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, vacationing in Florida, the ocean, decorating and painting, reading, and above all else, laughing! She was fun! Beverly was a joyous lady; inside and out. She was always smiling and making those around her do the same.
She leaves behind the love of her life; Harold, her son Robert (Sue) Mason, daughter Lisa (Harvey) Chandler and son Kris (Bev) Burkholder.
Her grandchildren: Kaila (Tony) Rowell, Jenna (Joe) Schutte, Chris (April) Chandler, Kathrine, Allison and Daniel Burkholder, and Bobby and Carolee Mason and great grandchildren: Ethan Chandler, Tessa, Ellie, David, Jaylee, Rebekah, Gracelyn and Henry Schutte.
Beverly also leaves behind many, dear, lifelong girlfriends.
She will be missed by many, but her love will continue on.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Bernice Parks and an infant grandson Matthew Mason.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Lake City United Methodist Church with Rev. Jean Smith officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the time of services.
Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery.
